New AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR TV Spot teases “the end of the world”!

Disney has released an extended new spot for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, and it’s one of the best yet. The film is more than just an AVENGERS sequel, as it brings together nearly every character in the MCU to confront the most formidable baddie yet: Thanos. Josh Brolin inhabits the role of the alien antagonist, who is bent on eradicating half the universe’s population.

That, one could say, is a “world-ending event,” and that’s the focus of this new spot as we see the various characters underlining what’s at stake. It’s also no coincidence that this spot happens to heavily highlight the Wakandan characters and is also one of the best spots yet. Fresh off the insane box office of BLACK PANTHER, Disney is playing it smart by promising fans essentially the BLACK PANTHER sequel just a few months after getting a first taste of the Wakandan corner of the MCU.

Joe and Anthony Russo direct both INFINITY WAR and its untitled sequel AVENGERS 4, which were shot back-to-back. We’re now only weeks away from INFINITY WAR’s release, and the film is poised to do major box office opening weekend as anticipation is mighty high. Can it possibly live up to the hype? We’ll find out.

The film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Jeremy Renner we assume, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, and Tom Hiddleston. AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR hits theaters April 27th.
